Hi, I'm Joanne.
My work focuses on supporting and challenging folks that were taught their identity can only look a certain way. I believe that you know yourself best: I want to help you gain the confidence to identify your needs, rewrite unhelpful narratives, and strengthen support systems.
I graduated from Thomas Jefferson University with a Master’s in Family Therapy and a sex therapy specialization that focused on relationship and sexuality issues including identity, desire, communication and intimacy issues, and sexual difficulties. You shouldn’t be shamed for wanting to explore your identity, preferring an alternative relationship style, or having kinky desires. This is why providing sex education has also become an important part of my clinical work and ultimately, why I chose this profession. I hope to provide a safe space for folks to work through their difficulties while remaining true to their authentic selves.
If you’re interested in meeting and talking about your goals for therapy, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you!
